AllaHopetossa Allgemein Finland 2021

On the road (again) to Finland

Last year we already wanted to go to Finland but due to Corona we couldn’t do it. We already had a flight, a hotel in Helsinki and a rental car. The flight was repaid, the car cancelled but the hotel only gave us a voucher. This spring we bought our caravan Allahopetossa and renovated it from inside and outside and we are on our way to make it autark (at least electricity and toilet).

So after we made our first beta camping test in the Allgäu we were ready to do our trip from last year with our caravan. Also it is always good to have your own car plus your own home with you.

Here we are on our way to Finland with our Allahopetossa. So far a great experience with quite a lot of stops in order to make it comfortable for our kids.

The first stop was at a Bioland farm from Landvergnügen which was very nice but a little bit close to the highway.

Next stop we thought would be Dresden but then we decided to continue to Görlitz which was a good decision because Görlitz is a nice city and at the camping site there was a circus made of and for kids which was great for our kids. The camping site was an old industrial area and very calm and chilled.

After Görlitz we thought that we would stay for two nights in Nieborów (Poland) close to a sea where I could wakeboard but because we had such much traffic jams in the beginning we decided not to drive that far but make a stop at Camping Domasławice and then drive all through Poland to Marijampole (Lithuania) because there is also a possibility to wakeboard.

Both camping sites (Domasławice and Marijampole) were also nice and perfect for the kids. The wake park was not the way I’m used to (you had to wake in a line and not in a circle) but it was fun anyway.

After two days in Marijampole we did a further stop close to Tuja (Latvia) at a camping site (Camping “Jūrasdzeņi”) where the kids immediately said that now we are on holiday – the camping site was at the sea 🙂

At the moment we are sitting on a camping site close to Tallinn and waiting to enter Finland – the crazy Germans are back again and this time with their own apartment 😉

Because we only got a voucher from our payment last year of the hotel we’ll stay three nights in Helsinki in the hotel and than travel onwards to Mumin World. But we’ll see if those plans work or if our plans will be changed again.

Until now traveling feels almost like in „former“ times although you always have to think about: when will we need the next test, where can we get the test and how much will it cost? This is of course only because until now we have no vaccination but seems to work anyway 🙂 this is also due to the fact that people are still very kind and friendly in foreign countries and try to support you – thanks to you!

Now with a map 🙂
