The north of Tenerife and Masca (without gorge)

although we are back now for a few weeks and the everyday life has us again firmly in the grip, I would like to write a few final posts from our trip. At the end of the trip was again and again in turn by a family member ill, which is why I did not get to write more posts.

From our base Los Gigantes we have always made trips and of course also to the north of Tenerife. We visited the The Masca Gorge (where we only looked at from above) or the whale skeleton at Los Silos. At Icon we looked at the oldest dragon tree and were in the butterfly house, which was really great for the kids.

In Garachico we looked at the port and the beautiful old town. The port had once been destroyed by a stream of lava and since then the then important port city had to give up its rank to other port cities on Tenerife.

Actually we wanted to make a small tour in the Anaga Mountains, but as already written above, at the end of the trip an illness kept interfering with one of us.
